Manual scans from my reference collection covering most of the manuals are now available for download in pdf format. Where available, these are shown in blue in the tables below. Note that some of the files are rather large.
HELP - If anyone is able to supply scans of any manual for which there is no download or where there are torn or missing pages then that would be appreciated. Please contact me first for details. I would like to make this website as complete as possible

Note - The 1947 edition of the 0 manual is seen both with and without a sticker on the rear page saying that the next set was the 0a outfit. The 0a was introduced in 1948

Early 1945 manuals had a matt blue cover - like the late 1941 manuals. From late 1945 the manuals had a Matt Green cover, Black print. Boy on left with Meccano blocksetter in centre. Real blocksetter in white circle on the right. Blue & Gold models. Basically same as late 1941 series. No war-time sticker. Reference to lighting set removed. Note explaining the new Meccano plates were plain without the white diagonal lines shown in the manuals. Manual size 12¼" x 7½" (312x190mm) approx |

Note - The early 1945 manuals were for export only. Most of the December 1945 manuals appear to been issued in both export and UK editions. They are identical. The only difference is that on the spine of manual on internal pages, where it mentions the outfit number it adds in the word 'Export' or 'Home'. These are noted above by an 'E' or 'H' against the print code. Note that in 1945 due to the requirement to export in preference to home sales, only outfits 1-3 were sold in the UK.
