Details and Downloads of Meccano Manuals
NEW - Manual Downloads - NEW
Manual scans from my reference collection covering most of the manuals are now available for download in pdf format. Where available, these are shown in blue in the tables below. Note that some of the files are rather large.
HELP - If anyone is able to supply scans of any manual for which there is no download or where there are torn or missing pages then that would be appreciated. Please contact me first for details. I would like to make this website as complete as possible

Note *1 - This is a slightly different edition, with page 2 now showing how to use the motor with the models.
Note *2 - This is a slightly different edition, with the same models, date and reference, but with many model pages reset and some different photos.
Note 3 - All the 1978 manuals have the Meccano Logo and also the Airfix logo on the rear cover
Note 4 - It is thought that set A was only available for a short period in 1978, which is why most set 1 manuals seen do not include set A parts list. Note that during this time the supplementary set S had extra parts to make up the difference between set A and set 1.
Note 5 - It was originally thought that production of this range of sets finished in 1979 when the Liverpool factory closed. However some sets have been seen with a 1981 copyright date on them by Miro Meccano (France) - Perhaps using up old stock.
NOTE: 'Todays Meccano' was the strapline used by Meccano during this period

No.9 and 10 sets - Both the No.9 and 10 sets continued in production, albeit with some minor parts changes, due to the discontinuation of certain parts. However there are no known printings of the No.9 manuals or No.10 set leaflets during this period.
