'Other' Constructional and Allied Systems Info & Downloads
Bettafit Construction Sets

Handy Set Construction Sets
Bettafit (sometimes known as Betta-Fit) and Handy Set are apparently identical Meccano-like construction systems. The instruction leaflet for Handy Set says that it is part of a range of sets called 'Bettabilt' of which nothing is currently known. Could this be a misprint and it should say 'Bettafit'? However it is thought likely that they were made by the same company as the part numbers are identical and they also both have the single long slot on the large flanged plate. They were made in Australia, probably after World War Two

Parts including M52 with 1 slot, 9 holes M54, 15 holes Strip(s), 5 holes Trunnions with 45° side slots, 2" Pulley, White Rim Wheel (double sided, flat centre), & Radiator Plates. *1 But 1/8W (round head & hex Nuts) found with parts.
