EPA(ΕΠΑ) Construction Sets

There seem to be three basic types of EPA(ΕΠΑ) construction sets. These were all made in Greece

1. EPA[a](ΕΠΑ[a]) which was a copy of the Erector construction system made under licence. It was made in the 1950s.

2. This was superseded in the 1960s by EPA[b](ΕΠΑ[b]) which was similar to Meccano/Märklin. This was made from the 1960s to 1970s and maybe into the 1980s.

3. EPA[c](ΕΠΑ[c]) which appears to be very similar to Trix or Tecno. Not certain when this was produced. Was this meant for the German market as is says 'Metallbaukasten' in the box and manual cover.

Name from Greek ???; EL MECANICO ARGENTINO in MCS. Parts similar to ERECTOR, manual cover shows ERECTOR model. *¹ 12.5 reported earlier.

Unusual Braced Girders with 2 rows of rectangular cutouts. Other parts have MÄRKLIN look to them. Many sets, some of which include 'aero' & 'army' parts. An Aero set (with holes at 12.7mm pitch) is called MEKANO. *¹ Mod.1.
