Kombination Construction Sets

Kombination appears to be a very unusual construction system, made from metal, ceramic and wood. It has many strange and unusual parts, that one wonders what they were used for. Some of them look as though they may be part of some machine or other. Unfortunately I don't currently have a manual for this system. It was made in Germany in the 1930s.
