Mecanic(5) Construction Sets

Mecanic(5) was a Meccano-like construction system. It was made in Germany in 1947/8. It then changed its name to MEKANIK (See MEKANIK(1)).

Initially the sets were numbered 1 and 2, plus conversion set 1a. See the plain covered manual below. There was also a set 3 with conversion set, probably from slightly after this manual.

However shortly afterwards the sets numbering was changed for some reason to 20, 21, 22 and 23, with the appropriate conversion sets (see manual below with picture on the front cover. Suspect that this change happened very shortly before the renaming to 'MEKANIK' Note that there are a few more parts noted on the 'parts' page of the later manual. Part numbering was unchanged.
