Metalin appears to be a copy of the Marklin construction system. It is thought to have been sold in Chile in around 1950. Was probably either made under license in Chile or imported from Germany

*1 An Ebay manual from Chile has METALIN Metallbaukasten on cover, with Spanish model names inside. Cover also shows fair sized set with red & blue parts. Likely to be a copy of MÄRKLIN.
