Press-Fix
Press-Fix was a simple construction system that used plastic plugs to connect strips in the 1950s and maybe into the early 1960s. There appears to be two versions of this system:-
1. Press-Fix(a) - In this version the strips are made of metal and is thought to be the original version from the 1950s.
2. Press-Fix(b) - In this version the strips are plastic (polythene) and probably superceded the metal version. One of the leaflets below is dated 1959.
It made in the UK, However Press-Fix(b) also appears to have also been made in New Zealand.

Some parts painted in more than one colour. Fastening is plastic plug into plastic washer. Wheels push-fit. *1 MCS has '50s-'57 but Patent. Application 1957. *2 12.7 in Flanged Plate.
