Stabil

Stabil was a Meccano-like construction system but with some special parts. Also some wood parts. It was made in Germany from around 1911. The factory closed in spring 1970 after the Toy Fair. Manuals are in German except where stated. Note that set 48 was first issued in 1931.

Werner Sticht has a website (in German) with lots of information about Stabil. It can be found at https://stabilbaukasten.lima-city.de/walther/stabil/peri0/peri0.html

A Stabil manual for sets 50 to 52. The manual dates from (or after) from July 1919. However the manual was issued later there is a price list dated 20/09/1920 glued inside the rear cover
Note that due to hyper-inflation in Germany from 1919-1923, this 1920 price list was the last printed as thereafter there were virtually daily changes in prices.
