Wittner Construction Sets

Wittner was a Meccano-like constructional system with two known sets. One to build a Mine Kocomotive and Wagons and another to build a Tram and Trailer.

Some information about the Wittner company. Until 1950 the company was in Lenzkirch, Germany where they produced these kits from 1948 to 1950. The company still exists and is now in Isny Algäu, Germany and these days produces metronomes and tuning forks.
This information and the instruction manual scans below were obtained a few years ago from Mr. Horst Wittner senior.
