Yunost / Konstruktor Shkol'nik(3)

(Konstruktor) Yunost (Юность - meaning 'Youth') was very similar to 1960s Meccano. Most of the models were from Meccano and the hole spacing was the standard 12.7mm. The parts numbering was virtually the same as Meccano except that there were no suffix letters. It was made in Russia in the mid 1980s although the manufacturer was unknown.

Also included here are Konstruktor Shkol'nik (Конструктор-школьник) sets by PO Strela of Orenburg (Оренбурга, ПО «Стрела»). Shkol'nik means Schoolboy. These are included here because of there similarity to the Yunost sets. Their 1982 sets also had standard 12.7mm hole spacing with two of their manuals having the same models as the equivalent Yunost set 2. In fact the 1982 Orenburg No.2 manual is virtually identical to the Yunost (Юность) No.2 manual.

The later Konstruktor (Конструктор) sets (1984 and 1986) by PO Strela of Orenburg (Оренбурга, ПО «Стрела») changed to a 10mm spacing with all different models. See Konstruktor(33)
