Pre-War
Listed below are all the pre-war registered designs throughout the world which I have so far managed to discover relating to the Meccano. Unfortunately I have so far not been able to get hold of any of the orignal documentation - except for the single American Design. I believe that the original UK design documents are available to be seen by visiting the National Archives at Kew, but so far I have not been able to get there. If anyone would like to search the Archives for me, this would be much appreciated
The following design numbers have all been obtained from pre-war manuals or DMS or as stamped on Meccano parts. From 1914 to 1934 patent and design numbers were listed on most of the outfit manuals. Due to lack of documentation, I have only been able to match a design number to a part for those parts on which I have seen the design number stamped on the actual part or as noted in DMS.
