South_Pointing_Chariot

Do you have a better reference for the ancient Chinese South_Pointing_Chariot with no gears? My reference is wikipedia

1978
Dr. Alan Partridge starts a contest in Meccano Magazine for the design with the fewest gears. It is shown subsequently that no gears are necessary at all!

First class articles and comments/information. Its good to know that you are still in the frame. Being Scottish by birth, we have a phrase that describes this ( Lang may your lum reek.)Carry on the good work.
Lum - Chimney. Reek - Smoke.

Tim, You guys have put remendous work into this site. Well done. Especially the Meccano Magazine finder pages. Keep up the good modelling. I've been creating original models since I was 6 in the 1960's and put electronics in Meccano nowadays. Matt.

My first Meccano was acquired at the age of eight when the slogan was "For boys from 8 to 80". It's grown a bit since then. I've acquired a couple of the latest sets this Christmas since I have only another 12 months to go before I reach the maximum age allowed.

What a great effort, the Mecanno Mag was my favourite magazine in my younger days, great now to look back on those early issues. Many thanks
